Cruise activity increases in Baltic Sea region in 2025

The Strategic Alliance of European Cruise Ports Associations reaffirmed its strong collaboration during Seatrade Cruise Europe 2025 in Hamburg, underscoring the importance of sustainable growth, innovation, and resilience across the cruise industry. 
Last year, Cruise Baltic created an overview of onshore power supply in the Baltic Sea region to give Cruise Lines easy access to information on shore power information and to make sustainable itinerary planning easier. 




Last year Cruise Baltic and Cruise Norway joined forces and launched the Itinerary Planner. The tool aims to make planning itineraries in the Baltic Sea region and Norway easier, and now the Itinerary Planner is ready in a new and improved edition.
A new study shows that the use of OPS is increasing among the Baltic cruise ports. Some ports in the Baltic Sea region have decided to invest in shore power facilities, but several ports have not decided yet.
