Heraklion opens new cruise terminal

The 51st MedCruise General Assembly that was held in Toulon in France elected Mr. Airam Díaz Pastor, Commercial Director of Ports of Tenerife as the new President of the Association representing ports and stakeholders related to the cruise business in the Mediterranean and its adjoining seas. 51st MedCruise General Assembly defines Mediterranean’s place in global cruise tourism

The 50th MedCruise General Assembly was formally opened this morning by Nicky Guerrero, chief executive of the Gibraltar Board of Tourism, which is hosting the event; Thanos Pallis, general secretary of MedCruise, Kristijan Pavić, president of MedCruise, and Captain Bob Sanguinetti, CEO of the Gibraltar Port Authority and Captain of the Port. MedCruise Readies for 50th General Assembly

MedCruise will make history in June when it gathers in Gibraltar for a ground-breaking 50th General Assembly event. The event will run from June 14-17 as MedCruise members, which are the majority of Mediterranean cruise ports, will gather with industry stakeholders and key cruise line representatives to discuss issues and challenges and working together. Improving cruise port infrastructure in the Med

MedCruise was invited to contribute with an article at the latest version of the International Cruise & Ferry Review (Issue 50, Spring 2017), with MedCruise Secretary General Thanos Pallis providing input on the continuous upgrade of cruise port infrastructure in the Med, and the need for longer term engagement of cruise lines, in order to improve planning.
