On October 7, with great enthusiasm and participation, the first session of the educational program “All Aboard!” took place at the Gil Vicente School in Lisbon.
The Port of Lisbon announces that passengers aboard the Arcadia cruise ship from P&O Cruises (Carnival UK Group) , currently on a 99-night world cruise, have donated clothing, books, and accessories to ENTRAJUDA – the Association for Supporting Social Solidarity Institutions.
On March 20th, the Port of Lisbon welcomed the first call of the Norwegian Aqua. Lisbon was chosen to be part of the preparatory voyages leading up to the official inaugural voyage, scheduled for March 28th between Southampton and Boston.
MedCruise has been actively present at the World Conference Cities & Ports held by AIVP–The World Network of Port-Cities, hosted by MedCruise member Port of Lisbon.
On October 29, 2024, the “1st Meeting for the Sustainability of Cruise Activity in Lisbon” took place at the Lisbon Cruise Terminal.
The Port of Lisbon hosted the 18th edition of GreenPort Congress & Cruise from October 18 to 20. Cruise Europe (CE) chairman Captain Michael McCarthy was honoured to moderate two of the sessions: Cruise Infrastructure Development and Shore Power.

The cruise ship “World Navigator”, from Mystic Cruises, called Port of Lisbon, during her maiden voyage of 11 days departing from Leixões and calls at Lisbon, Gibraltar, Formentera, Ibiza and Capri, and Piraeus, Greece.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is giving guests the opportunity to name its third fleet get-together in October 2021, when the company’s four ocean ships – Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch – will reunite in Lisbon, Portugal. 
The Port of Lisbon Authority (APL) has begun the count-down to Seatrade Cruise Med 2018 – the world’s largest cruise industry event focussed on the Mediterranean and adjoining seas – and this year, an integral element of the recently announced Portugal Shipping Week.
The cruise industry came together during a special event held as part of Seatrade Cruise Global, celebrating the fact that MedCruise member port of Lisbon will be the one to host Seatrade Cruise Med event on 19-20 September 2018.
