This year´s cruise season in Hamburg extends throughout the winter offering various routes and attractive destinations from/to Hamburg. 
The president of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Aurelio Martínez, has held a working meeting with the president of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) and vice-president of the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), Jens Meier.
The cruise business in Hamburg is picking up momentum again: AIDA Cruises, too, is starting its Hamburg cruise season with AIDAmar. The ship will depart from Hamburg a total of 13 times between 31 July and 24 October 2021.
Hamburg’s cruise season has started: initiated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ “HANSEATIC nature” departing from the Cruise Center Altona tonight, being the first cruise of the season to sail from Hamburg. 
From July 1st, 2020, Simone Maraschi (45) will complement the management of CGH to succeed Sacha Rougier. Simone Maraschi has outstanding expertise in the international cruise business.
“Stay at home” is the global message of the moment. The fleet of the Hamburg-based cruise company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, which would normally be sailing the seven seas, is now heading for the waters of its home port. 

On Friday, 11 October, 2019 in the Port of Hamburg, Laura Dekker will name the HANSEATIC inspiration, which is the second of the three, new expedition ships belonging to the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ fleet.
The Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports participated in the cruise industry’s largest event in Northern Europe with its own stand, hosting a series of business meetings and networking events to promote cruise activities in the Mediterranean and beyond at Seatrade Cruise Europe 2019, which took place in Hamburg, Germany from 11th and 13th September.
Stakeholders from the Caribbean and Latin America were in the middle of Europe’s meeting point for the cruise industry, benefitting from the record-breaking cruise line executive attendance along with the record-breaking initiative by Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) at Seatrade Europe, which resulted in the 14 Partners hosting more than 60 meetings and more than 35 top-level cruise executives visiting the FCCA’s highly trafficked pavilion for meetings and networking events. 
From furnishings to lighting systems, and from fine materials to kitchen equipment, the MARINE INTERIORS Cruise & Ferry Global Expo, powered by SMM, which premiered from 11 to 13 September, provided a showcase to a wide variety of suppliers of cruise ship interiors.
