Hamburg’s new Baakenhöft Cruise Terminal – Change of calls planned for Cruise Center HafenCity as of July 1st 2020
Hamburg gets a new cruise center, though only “temporarily” for 10 years. Starting operations as of July 1st 2020, the temporary Cruise Center Baakenhöft is located in the eastern HafenCity at Kirchenpauerkai.
Cruise Center Baakenhöft will serve as an alternative terminal for the Cruise Center HafenCity (CC1), as this terminal is going to be rebuilt and integrated into the new Shopping and Hotel complex in southern Überseequartier (Overseas Quarter).
The expected opening of the new HafenCity terminal will be in 2023.
Please note: As of July 1st 2020, all calls that were planned for the Cruise Center HafenCity (Chicagokai) will take place at the new Cruise Center Baakenhöft.
