Copenhagen Malmö Port strengthens its commercial cruise team
Malmö Port (CMP) is strengthening its commercial cruise team with the appointment of a dedicated Cruise Commercial Manager in Visby and several key role changes designed to support the continued growth of cruise operations across Copenhagen, Malmö and Visby.
During August, Magnus Olsson joined CMP as Cruise Commercial Manager, Visby, establishing a dedicated commercial presence on Gotland. In this role, he will lead cruise line engagement and destination development efforts, further strengthening Visby’s position as an attractive cruise destination in the Baltic region.
At the same time, Lennart Vidbjørg has rejoined CMP as Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships, while Jens Andersson has permanently joined the commercial cruise team as Cruise Commercial Service Manager. Louise Haulund Landler continues in her role as Cruise Commercial Manager, leading cruise line account management and commercial partnerships. The commercial cruise team is led by Luis de Carvalho, Commercial Cruise Director.
“The cruise industry continues to evolve, and our organisation must evolve with it. By strengthening our commercial cruise team and establishing a dedicated commercial presence in Visby, we are reinforcing our ability to support cruise lines, destinations and stakeholders while creating a strong foundation for future growth across all our destinations,” says Luis de Carvalho, Commercial Cruise Director, Copenhagen Malmö Port.
The strengthened team reflects the continued development of CMP’s cruise business across Copenhagen, Malmö and Visby, including growth in turnaround and transit calls, winter cruise activity and overnight stays. Through close collaboration with cruise lines, destinations and local stakeholders, CMP continues to position its ports as leading cruise destinations in Northern Europe.
