Pacific Aria Sold; Leaving P&O Australia Fleet

The Pacific AriaP&O Cruises Australia has announced the Pacific Aria has officially been sold, and will leave the fleet immediately, as opposed to her scheduled departure early next year. The ship was poised to go to Cruise & Maritime Voyages, but following the collapse of the British brand, Carnival Corporation has found a new buyer for the 1994-built ship. Puerto Peñasco’s dream to have a cruise line regularly sailing out of its port has hit rough waters. The company that took the risk to launch that first cruise earlier this year has declared bankruptcy. Cruise & Maritime Voyages is celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Amy Johnson’s famous solo record-breaking flight from London to Darwin, Australia which departed from the former London Airport in Croydon 5 May 1930.
