After a construction period of 22 months, the Cruise Port Rotterdam onshore power installation was officially opened on 31 March, 2025, on the Holland Amerikakade. 
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced a dynamic lineup of government officials, cruise industry leaders, and international institutions for Cruise Week Europe 2025, taking place from March 12-14 in Rotterdam.

Holland America Line’s newest ship Rotterdam is set to get the royal treatment at a naming ceremony in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, May 30, 2022. Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands will be the ship’s godmother, carrying on a Dutch royal tradition that began in the 1920s.
“We are very proud to today announce preliminary details of our first-ever special fleet parade and regatta event which will be held in Rotterdam on Saturday 28 August 2021.”
