Port Canaveral reveals first ships that will use new cruise terminal

Port Canaveral announced its plan today to build a new cruise terminal to meet the growing demands of the cruise industry. 
Princess Cruises and Brightline, the intercity passenger rail seamlessly connecting travelers to top destinations and major events in Central and South Florida, have joined forces to introduce the innovative Rail & Sail program, offering guests swift and hassle-free access to Princess cruise ships departing from two popular Florida homeports – Fort Lauderdale and Orlando (Port Canaveral).
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) revealed new Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries for Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Epic from New Orleans and Port Canaveral, Fla. 

Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO, presented a comprehensive overview of the Port’s strong performance in Fiscal Year 2023 and expressed a positive outlook for the upcoming FY 2024 during his annual “State of Port” address on Nov. 8 at Cruise Terminal 1.
Port Canaveral welcomed home Royal Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas (October 26, 2023), the first of the game-changing Oasis Class ships to sail 3- and 4-night getaways to The Bahamas and the cruise line’s award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. 

Norwegian Cruise Lines has recently announced their decision to reposition the Norwegian Epic to Port Canaveral this winter, in response to the growing demand for Caribbean sailings. 
For the first time ever, Princess Cruises will homeport in Central Florida. The iconic “Love Boat” brand will re-position its Caribbean Princess ship in late November 2024 to sail eastern and western Caribbean itineraries out of Port Canaveral for its winter season.
Norwegian Cruise Lines’ brand-new ship, Norwegian Prima, has arrived at Port Canaveral to begin an inaugural season of voyages through March 2023 from her new homeport at Port Canaveral. 
Port Canaveral recently marked the arrival of Royal Caribbean International’s Jewel of the Seas to her new homeport for the 2022-2023 winter season. The deployment of the Radiance-class ship marks the fourth Royal Caribbean asset to be homeported at Port Canaveral. 

Port Canaveral welcomed Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Freedom on her first call to the Port at a dockside ceremony as the ship prepared for her inaugural sailing from the Port’s Cruise Terminal 6.
Carnival Cruise Line yesterday christened “Mardi Gras” at Port Canaveral, Fla. at a “Universe of Fun” celebration befitting of the world’s most fun cruise ship, in the first ship naming ceremony held in the U.S. since the cruise industry’s restart this summer.
