Port Canaveral targets Bluepoints Marina site for its new cruise terminal
Port Canaveral is proposing locating its new cruise terminal at the current site of Bluepoints Marina, Port Canaveral Chief Executive Officer John Murray said Wednesday.
In his presentation during the Canaveral Port Authority’s monthly meeting, Murray said he will work with Bluepoints to shift its facilities to another location at the port, with a goal of minimizing disruption for Bluepoints and its customers.
Port officials last month said they are proposing building a new cruise terminal that would open in late 2026 on the south side of the port, at a cost estimated at $175 million, but did not disclose a specific site.
