Trimline and Marella Cruises teamed up again on the recent refurbishment of Marella Explorer in Puerto Real, Spain (January 2022)During the extensive 4-week refit, as the main outfitter onboard, the 80-strong Trimline team of floor layers, decorators, joiners, upholsterers, tilers, electricians, french polishers, welders and hard surface repairers completed a complex refurbishment of the Main Restaurant (Latitude & Vista) which included the installation of an ultra-high efficiency lighting system which is 15% more efficient than standard LED drivers. TUI says crisis will drive digitalisation, non-profitable activities could be sold

TUI AG, the German tour operator that also has three cruise brands in its portfolio, says the current crisis will drive further digitalisation of its business. The group’s cruise operations that comprise the fully owned Marella Cruises unit in the UK and 50% stake in TUI Cruises and Hapag-Lloyd, reported a sharp weakening of results in the three months to 31 March. Marella Cruises Confirms Future Itinerary Changes

Marella Cruises (Logo) Today the UK’s third largest cruise line, Marella Cruises, announces changes to its itinerary programme across the next three seasons. The news follows the announcement that it was cancelling all cruises up to 30 June 2020 and that after 15 years, its much-loved ship Marella Celebration, is to retire the fleet early and will not sail any further itineraries with Marella. Marella has exclusively revealed that the 1,830-passenger ship — which debuted in July 2017 — is in dry dock for 22-days, with the Squid & Anchor replacing the cabaret lounge-style Venue on Deck 5.
