New cruise ship Iona sails into home port

The largest cruise ship built for the UK market has arrived in Southampton ahead of its naming ceremony. P&O Cruises’ Iona has 17 passenger decks, creating capacity for 5,200 holidaymakers before social distancing is taken into account. (standard.co.uk)

Caribbean cruise ship Azura set to remain berthed on River Tyne for months

P&O Cruises (Logo) Operated by P&O, the impressive cruise liner has been berthed at Port of Tyne since January 15 after sailing into the region from Southampton. It was one of many P&O ships that returned to the UK when the coronavirus pandemic stopped operations and has been undergoing essential maintenance work while based at the North Shields port. Meyer Werft hands over Iona to P&O Cruises

P&O Updates Newbuild Delivery Schedule

Iona -  P&O CruisesP&O Cruises has announced that it plans to take delivery of Iona before the autumn and that following discussions with the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg Germany, Iona’s as yet unnamed sister ship will be delivered in December 2022, according to a press release.
