Cruise ship Ventura suffered engines failure, towed back to port

Ventura - P&OCruise ship VENTURA was disabled and started to drift at around 2030 UTC Dec 7, shortly after leaving Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands, during her 12-day cruise which started at Southampton. The ship requested assistance, she was taken n tow at around 0120 UTC Dec 8 and towed back to Santa Cruz. (maritimebulletin.net)

Azura to Malta and Oceana again to Gulf in P&O Cruises’ 2021-22 programme

Azura in TriesteP&O Cruises will position Azura in Malta for a series of summer cruises and Oceana again back to the Arabian Gulf as parts of the line’s 2021-22 programme, it said in a statement. Oceana’s 2019-20 winter programme in the Arabian Gulf was cancelled due to security concerns a few weeks ago. The ship will return top the region for the 2020-21 winter season as well. Luxury cruise passengers are left to sleep in a freezing sports centre in Monte Carlo after stormy waters prevented ship from picking them up

Passengers on a luxury P&O cruise were forced to sleep at a sports venue in Monte Carlo after choppy seas meant they could not return to their ship. The cruise liner Azura dropped its passengers off in Monaco but ‘un-forecast inclement weather’ meant they had to stay on the mainland on Saturday night. (dailymail.co.uk)

Port of Southampton makes multi-million pound investment into the future of cruise

Iona to enter UK and not Bermuda registry

British cruise market to surpass 2.0 million in 2018 – P&O Cruises

The British cruise market should generate more than 2.0 million passengers this year, the first time it has exceeded the figure, said Paul Ludlow, P&O Cruises senior vice president.
