Cruise operator Pandaw Expeditions goes out of business

The Sabaidee Pandaw Pandaw regrets to announce that due to the continuing Covid 19 impact on international leisure travel, the closure of its destinations in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and India, and the critical political situation in Myanmar, the company has no alternative but to cease its river cruise operations due to the lack of financial liquidity and failure to find additional funding in the wake of the Covid 19 crisis. The Sabaidee Pandaw Pandaw Cruises’ latest vessel, the 28-berth Sabaidee Pandaw, has successfully completed river trials ahead of her launch on the Laos to China route across Yunnan. The double-decker vessel is designed to meet the navigational challenges of shooting rapids in the Laos gorges and sailing through shallow waters all the way to China. Katha Pandaw’s India Arrival Delayed; More Ships on the Way

The Orient Pandaw Pandaw reports that the Katha Pandaw, a smaller, newly refurbished ship that had been slated to sail the Upper Ganges in India starting in January, has been postponed due to issues with exporting the vessel from Myanmar. These issues are now fully resolved, the cruise line said, and the Katha will sail from Yangon next week, while plans for the full launch on the Ganges of the Orient Pandaw in September remain unchanged. Pandaw Expands Cruise Offerings in India

The Orient Pandaw Pandaw has announced it will ramp up its cruise offerings in India following the demand for its new Lower Ganges sailing beginning in December 2018. Pandaw’s expansion plans for India include deploying two more ships to the region, adding three new itineraries or itinerary combinations and launching a range of new pre- and post-cruise tours of the country.
