Marmaris Cruise Port proudly hosts Marella Discovery on her First Turnaround Call
On Monday, the 6th of May, Marmaris Cruise Port, Turkey, has successfully homeported Marella Cruises’ Marella Discovery for her maiden call in a series of her 27 weekly turnaround calls in 2024 East Mediterranean summer season.
Thanks to the newly renovated passenger terminal and a modern dual carriageway connection with Dalaman International Airport, the turnaround has been a seamless experience for the passengers. With Dalaman’s modern facilities, the airport serves TUI Airways as a major airlift connection to UK holidaymakers.
Marella Cruises offers a variety of options for cruise passengers, with stays offered in combination with pre and post cruise accommodation in luxurious resort hotels in Marmaris and Fethiye regions, all within a short road connection from the port.
With Marmaris’ protected harbour and deep water piers, Marmaris Cruise Port provides sheltered berthing for cruise ships all year round, benefiting from an unobstructed turning basin and calm waters. The port offers two berths with two concrete piers of 305m and 135m in length.
Perfectly situated to serve cruise ships running weekly butterfly itineraries in East Mediterranean and the Aegean, Marmaris offers endless combinations within the outreach of popular magical destinations such as Istanbul, Ephesus, Athens, Rhodes, and Alexandria.
Marmaris Cruise Port served as a homeport for Thomson Cruises ships between 2010 and 2016, and the company now trading as Marella Cruises is back in Marmaris with their new vessels.
