The Port of Southampton, Europe’s leading cruise turnaround port, has welcomed Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL)’s newest cruise ship, Norwegian Prima. 
Associated British Ports (ABP)’s Port of Southampton is celebrating the successful commissioning and use of its shore power facility for cruise ships. Shore power-enabled ships can now plug in at the port’s Horizon Cruise Terminal and Mayflower Cruise Terminal, for zero emissions at berth.
The maiden call of Noble Caledonia’s flagship vessel, the “MS Island Sky” has been welcomed at Associated British Ports (‘ABP’)’s Port of Troon.
On 22 September The Port of Southampton welcomed “Seven Seas Splendor”, the first ship from cruise partner Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) to make an official call at its new Horizon Cruise Terminal.
The Port of Southampton’s newest cruise terminal was officially opened today, September 15, by the Maritime Minister during London International Shipping Week.
The Port of Southampton has had its busiest month of the year to date for cruise, with two consecutive five cruise ship weekends during August. 
The Port of Southampton’s new Horizon Cruise Terminal accepted its first passengers on July 3, with the arrival of MSC Cruises’ MSC Virtuosa.
