Travel Weekly proudly presents the 2019 Readers Choice Awards

This year’s winners were announced at the 17th annual Readers Choice Awards Gala at the Conrad New York on Dec. 12. Airlines, cruise lines, hotels and more competed in a total of 79 categories this year. Study: Here’s how Port Tampa Bay ranks among top cruise ports

Port Tampa BayPort Tampa Bay is one of the best places to cruise out of in the world, according to the number of passengers it sees. There were nearly 600,000 cruise line embarkations at the Tampa port last year, based on a biennial study from Cruise Lines International Association. The awards — divided by ocean, luxury and river cruising — are selected by Cruise Critic’s team of international editors for a variety of categories, including best dining, best cabins and best for families. River cruises and luxury cruises are judged separately.

It is 760 pages of small, but readable print. Cruising and Cruise Ships 2020 is up to the normal very high standard, but not perfect. New Zealand Cruise Association: Record cruise season forecast for 2019/2020

The first week of October marks the beginning of a record breaking summer cruise season, according to the New Zealand Cruise Association. While cruise ships sail from New Zealand ports every month of the year, the first week of October – when the Maasdam and Majestic Princess arrive in Fiordland – marks the beginning of a season which will see more port visits and passengers than ever before. Online cruise portals Dreamlines, e-hoi looking for investors -sources

German online cruise portals Dreamlines and e-hoi are planning to raise money to fund their rapid expansion, capitalising on growing demand for luxury holidays, people close to the matter said. Dreamlines, which is backed by Rocket Internet , Global Founders Capital, Holtzbrinck Ventures, Target Global, Dimaventures, Hasso Plattner Ventures, and TruVenturo is working with GCA Altium on the deal, which could value it at more than 200 million euros (176.7 million pounds), the people said.
