Cruise Europe new member: Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland
Warrenpoint on Carlingford Lough in Northern Ireland is in its infancy when it comes to cruise. It had its first and only call from Saga Pearl II in July 2014 with a repeat booked next year due to the success of the visit.
Most of the town turned out to welcome the ship and a brass band was playing on the quayside. Those making the short walk into the town were treated to live bands, Irish dancing, local food markets, crafts stalls, face painting and more all put on especially for the call.
