SkySea Announces Final China Season

SkySea Cruise Line announced today the final voyage of the Golden Era will take place August 29, 2018. The four-night cruise will depart Shanghai and visit Fukuoka, Japan before returning to Shanghai on September 2, 2018. Mein Schiff 2 to remain in Germany, older and smaller ex Century to Marella Cruises

The SkySea Golden Era (Ex Celebrity Century)The termination of a Chinese joint venture of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd (RCCL) and its partner Ctrip means that Marella Cruises, the British cruise line owned by TUI AG, will acquire the 72,458 gross ton Golden Era that was built in 1995 as Century of Celebrity Cruises, from the venture. SkySea Shutdown Sparks Ship Transfer Shuffle

With the SkySea Cruise Line brand coming to an end later this year, a number of fleet changes will follow the news that the 1,814-guest Golden Era will be sold to Marella Cruises. The Golden Era is expected to transfer to Marella by December, and will take the place of the 1,912-passenger Mein Schiff 2, which was poised to move to Marella in spring 2019. SkySea Launches New Music Show
