MSC Grandiosa at Genoa - August 16, 2020As a result of the extension of the restrictive measures related to movement within Italy, as set out in the latest decree from the Italian government preventing access to and use of ports of embarkation until 15 January, MSC Cruises today announced that it is forced to cancel the cruises of MSC Grandiosa departing from Genoa, Italy on 10 January and, as a measure of precaution, to also cancel the cruise departure of 17 January. MSC Cruises Signs New Maritime Single-use Plastic Charter

MSC Cruises (logo)MSC Cruises has signed a new ‘Single-Use Plastic Charter’ established by the UK Chamber of Shipping which aims to scrap the use of single-use plastic items by the end of 2021. The cruise line in 2019 eliminated 97 million items of plastic after identifying nearly 40,000 single-use plastic items in its hotel operations, shops, restaurants and kitchens. (more…)
