MSC Cruises and the Port of Helsinki, today (30 April 2019) inaugurated a newly built berth for mega cruise ships. In 2017, Helsinki grew to become the busiest passenger port in Europe and possibly the entire world with 12.3 million passengers. The number of international cruise ship passengers rose to an all-time record this year totalling 478,000 foreign passengers. In 2016, the number was 409,000, while the previous record was 436,500 in 2015. (more…)

The 2017 cruise season begins on Wednesday 3 May with the arrival of Astor to the Katajanokka Quay next to the Allas Sea Pool in the centre of Helsinki. The upcoming cruise season is expected to even busier than last summer. (cruisebusiness.com)
