Falmouth is visited by two huge cruise ships on same day

A Cornish town has proved so popular with tourists that it was visited by two cruise ships on the same day, (Saturday, October 1).

Arriving into Falmouth Bay at sunrise, the massive MSC Preziosa was soon joined by the slightly smaller Viking Jupiter, which continued on into the harbour.

With around 1500 passengers on board, the 333 metre long MSC Preziosa was spotted on the horizon at dawn, eventually dropping anchor close to Pendennis Point just after 7.30am.

Dominating the skyline, passengers could be seen disembarking the Fantasia-class cruise ship almost immediately, leaving the 14 decks to be ferried into Falmouth harbour.
