Cunard Holds a Day of Celebration in the Port of Halifax
Luxury cruise line Cunard will host the Fifth Annual Samuel Cunard Prize for Vision, Courage and Creativity on July 26, 2019, honoring Zita Cobb and Sandra Greer.
Local dignitaries, port officials and key members of the community will be in attendance to celebrate the award recipients onboard the line’s flagship Queen Mary 2 while docked in Halifax, NS. Later that day, Haligonians will be in for a rare treat as Queen Mary 2 meets her sister ship Queen Elizabeth in Halifax for the first time as they sail together and offer a spectacular sail away in the harbor.
As part of this special day of celebration, historian John Langley will make a significant gift to the Cunard archives.
