Costa Cruises presents its new 2017/18 Brochure

For the 24th Protagonisti del Mare, Costa Cruises is presenting its new 2017/18 brochure, with 12 months of holidays, from November 2017 to November 2018.
Excitement is the theme of the brochure, which presents Costa’s product in a totally new guise.

The first pages are given over to the company, its history – in 2018 it will be celebrating its exceptional 70-year anniversary – and its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

It then moves on to the world of Costa’s product and itineraries, with a highly innovative narrative technique inspired by the most popular social networks. The theme is the experience that guests have on holiday with Costa, as they tell us in person what they find exciting about going on a cruise. A family, a young couple in love, a lone explorer, a group of friends and a couple of expert cruisers are the main guest types that Costa has picked out: they will be the ones who share their experiences and comments, creating a kind of ship’s log, allowing readers to discover more about the destinations and life on board. The choice of photos too is based on the same concept, with a majority showing the different types of guest as they relax and have fun on their cruise.

The itineraries are presented in keeping with the excitement of cruise guests. To make the whole list of Costa itineraries even easier to consult, the new brochure has a complete calendar with all the year’s departures in a pull-out poster format.

All the details about individual itineraries will be featured in four different single-theme brochures issued over the year, which will complement the main brochure: one for Northern Europe, one for the Mediterranean; one for exotic destinations – the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Maldives, Dubai, Oman and United Arab Emirates; a fourth featuring the Around the World and Transatlantic cruises.

The big news for the 2018 summer season is Costa Mediterranea, which will take guests to the most beautiful cities in Europe on a single cruise, thanks to long stopovers in ports: Amsterdam, Paris, London, Bruges, Bremen and Hamburg. Summer in Northern Europe continues on board Costa Pacifica, Costa Mediterranea, Costa Magica and Costa Favolosa, exploring the wild beauty and nature of the Norwegian fjords, the routes beyond North Cape, Iceland, and the grand capitals and jewels of the Baltic, with the wonderful sights of Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Seven to fifteen-day itineraries from May to September.

Besides Northern Europe, Costa offers a huge range of holidays all over the world at any time of the year. The jewel in the crown of the Italian company is its Mediterranean itineraries on board its 10 ships – Costa neoClassica, Costa neoRiviera, Costa Diadema, Costa Fascinosa, Costa Magica, Costa Deliziosa, Costa Luminosa, Costa Mediterranea, Costa Favolosa and Costa Pacifica – offering unique experiences with all the region’s history, art and nature.

There’s a wide range of cruises all year long: from mini holidays, to one or two-week cruises in the Western Mediterranean, as well as the Canary Islands and other islands in the Atlantic, and in the Eastern Mediterranean, in Greece and Croatia. The two summer itineraries on board Costa neoClassica and Costa neoRiviera will be offered again for the 2018 season, for anyone who wants fun nightlife and lively beaches on their holiday at sea.

Guests looking for winter sun from November 2017 to March 2018 can choose from the exotic Costa Cruises itineraries in India, the Maldives, Mauritius, the Seychelles, United Arab Emirates and the Caribbean. These itineraries include one or two-week cruises with special and scheduled flights.

Views with intense colours, endless beaches and crystal clear water are the highlights of the routes that Costa offers for winter. Until March 2018, Costa guests will have lots of white Caribbean beaches to choose from – on board Costa Magica, Costa Pacifica and Costa Deliziosa – with modular, specially designed itineraries to meet all needs, exploring the most beautiful islands: Guadeloupe, St. Maarten, La Romana, St. Kitts, Antigua, and Martinique, as well as Catalina Island, a wonderful island with a private beach reserved for Costa guests.

In India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka Costa neoClassica will give guests the unique chance to see breathtaking landscapes and multicultural cities, on a holiday where relaxation and fun is guaranteed for everyone, with itineraries designed for all travellers who like exotic, enchanting destinations.

The long stopovers and night stays, as well as the chance to double up some itineraries, will give Costa guests a complete and intense experience. From November 2017 to March 2018, Costa neoRiviera will be offering a winter escape to the Indian Ocean, with its unspoilt nature and paradise beaches, exploring the Seychelles, Madagascar, Réunion and Mauritius.

Culture and tradition, and the opulence of futuristic cities are in store in the United Arab Emirates and Oman itineraries: from November 2017 to March 2018, Costa Mediterranea will take its guests on a journey through centuries of history with long stopovers to savour the best of every destination, and a stop at the nature reserve on Sir Bani Yas Island, with its private beach.

But that’s not all that Costa has to offer: the Grand Cruises and the Transatlantic cruises will be a chance to travel on wonderful voyages from one continent to another in the footsteps of the great navigators of the past.

The most exclusive of these voyages is undoubtedly the Around the World cruise, which sets off on 6 January 2018 from Venice on board Costa Luminosa: 106 days discovering different countries, languages and cultures, from the wonders of the Mediterranean to the Pillars of Hercules and on to South America, from the coast of California to Hawaii, from Australia to Asia, before returning to the waters of the Mediterranean.
Something else that sets a Costa cruise apart from the rest is the onboard experience it offers.

Wherever guests are in the world they can always count on the best of Italian hospitality. First and foremost thanks to the excellent cuisine, with exceptional menus created by the Michelin-starred chef Bruno Barbieri, great Italian regional dishes, the Goccialatte mozzarella which is made directly on board, the Pummid’oro Pizzeria, the Amarillo Ice Cream Parlour, as well as the sophisticated Pacific Fusion cuisine, and the Ferrari Bar, or Aperol Spritzes by the pool.

The fun continues with the “Felicità al quadrato” (happiness squared) entertainment format: from The Voice of the sea, with fun for our youngest guests with their favourite Peppa Pig, and the theatres, discos, and shops, as well as excursions.
And finally, with Costa Cruises guests can enjoy the new “I love surfing” internet offers, that allow guests to always stay connected and share their excitement on social networks with their friends and family.
