153 cruise ships are expected to call at the Port of La Spezia in 2017, bringing 520,000 passengers

In late 2015 a new cruise terminal, Golfo dei Poeti – Cinque Terre Cruise Terminal Port of La Spezia, opened: with an internal surface of about 1,500sq mtr it can accommodate passengers in transit and for boarding, offering wide spaces for the operations and logistics.

New ship visitors expected in 2017 are: Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas, MSC Cruises’ MSC Orchestra, P&O Cruises’ Britannia, Cunard Cruise Lines’ Queen Victoria, and Silversea Cruises’ Silver Muse.

La Spezia Port Authority is involved in a project for a new urban waterfront, which will include a new cruise area. Plans are currently being developed for two new berths of 393mtr and 339mtr, and at the same time, work is taking place on the production of a new cruise terminal.
