Costa Deliziosa Set To Depart On Her Around-the-world Cruise

Costa Cruises is proposing in 2015 a truly unique adventure, a fantastic 4-month holiday:  the “Around-the-World Cruise”.

The Costa Deliziosa, one of the most exclusive ships in the Costa fleet, will depart from Savona (Italy) on a voyage that from January 6, 2015 to May 1 2015 will allow Guests to discover five continents, plying the seven seas, just like the great navigators of the past.

This cruise was designed to meet the expectations of very experienced and cruise passionate guests who can find a unique experience while circumnavigating the globe in 115 days, visiting 40 destinations and 18 countries along the route.

This historical cruise was proposed again by Costa in 2011, after 17 years. In the wake of her tremendous success, it became a milestone for the Italian company. The big news for this edition of the Around-the-World Cruise is represented by the route. The ship will discover the Southern Hemisphere, visiting wonderful places like Brazil, Argentina, Tierra del Fuego, Cape Horn, Chile, Easter Island, Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Mozambico, South Africa, Namibia. The 2015 Around-the-World cruise will host about 2,500 passengers from 35 countries around the world: the majority of the guests will be French, Italian and German, along with numerous Spanish.

On September 14th 2015 is scheduled the departure of the second Around-the-World cruise onboard Costa Luminosa, sistership of Costa Deliziosa, that will last until Dec. 21, 2015 (98 days). In this case the itinerary will touch France, Spain, the Carribean, Mexico, US, New Zealand, Australia, China, India and UAE.  

To celebrate the Costa Deliziosa’s departure, lots of festivities involving both ports and ship have been planned. Palacrociere cruise terminals in Savona will be decorated with yellow and blue balloons, together with evocative pictures. To re-enact the departures of the great cruises of the past, a brass band will perform during the embarkation. Guests will also feel all the wonder of that special atmosphere of the legendary overseas voyages and they will be welcomed onboard by “Christopher Columbus” and “Queen Isabella”. Also in Marseille and Barcelona, the two ports of Costa Deliziosa world tour following Savona, dedicated events will take place with live music and sail away parties.

A special selection of international artists will be performing during the various segments of the crossing, proposing amusing live shows:  from acrobats to flamenco show; from Beatles tribute band to tango groups; from ventriloquist to folk shows.  

The shore excursions during the itinerary will be organised to make the Around-the-World Cruise a unique and unforgettable experience. During the voyage it will be possible to discover the breath-taking landscapes of Perito Moreno glacier in Patagonia, admire the Magdalena Island Natural Penguin Reserve, snorkel in Papeete, visit the Pinnacles Desert in Perth, the Blue Mountains and the mysterious monolith of Ayers Rock during the 3-day call at Sydney, experience all the excitement of helicopter flyover of the three bays in Capetown.

For 2016 Costa Cruises has already planned another great Around-the-World cruise from Savona, onboard Costa Luminosa, sistership of Costa Deliziosa from January 6 to April 23, 2016 (108 days).
