Seattle cruise ship season sets sail, expected to bring $1.2B economic boost
The Port of Seattle is set to launch a record-breaking cruise season beginning Friday, with officials projecting the highest number of sailings and passengers in the port’s history.
The season, which runs through Oct. 11, is expected to include 330 vessel calls, as well as approximately 2.1 million revenue passengers — the most in the port’s history.
Two cruise lines will make their Seattle debut this year: MSC Cruises, with the MSC Poesia, and Virgin Voyages, with the Brilliant Lady.
