Solomon Islands targets growth in expedition cruise sector
The Solomon Islands is positioning itself as a key destination for the expedition cruise sector, with forward schedules for 2026–2027 showing increased deployment of small-ship and high-value itineraries.
Recent calls have included expedition and boutique vessels operated by Swan Hellenic, Ponant, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, and Heritage Expeditions, alongside luxury operators such as Seabourn Cruise Line.
Further arrivals are scheduled through late 2026 and into 2027 as the destination is increasingly incorporated into Melanesian expedition routes.
