More than 150 guests, crew sick in Princess cruise norovirus outbreak
A gastrointestinal virus outbreak on Star Princess prompted enhanced sanitation as the ship sails the Caribbean.
Among the 4,307 guests aboard Star Princess, 104 reported being ill during its current voyage, along with 49 crew members, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Their main symptoms were vomiting and diarrhea.
The ship is currently sailing a Caribbean cruise and is scheduled to return to Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades on March 14, according to CruiseMapper.
