Virgin Voyages Launches Entertainment Company; Stages New Show “Booked” Aboard Scarlet Lady
Virgin Voyages has flipped the script. Again.
The cruise line announced today (November 21, 2025) the launch of Screw It, Let’s Do It Productions, a new entertainment company that will bring Virgin Voyages’ sea-based shows to land-based theaters, Virgin Hotels and corporate events.
The move is highly unprecedented as it represents a reversal of the standard order: Typically, cruise lines will take land-based shows and adapt them to ships. And even when cruise lines create original productions, they are exclusively shown aboard ships.
“When we started Virgin Voyages, we couldn’t just book a band and call it entertainment. So we built original theatrical productions. The world needs more Virgin and more of this kind of joy. I just wish we could get more of these amazing shows on land. Now, there’s an idea!,” mused Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, in a video shared by Virgin Voyages aboard Scarlet Lady, where the creation of the production company was revealed.
