Celebrity Xcel to arrive in Puerto Plata at year’s end
Celebrity Cruises has taken delivery of its latest cruise ship, Celebrity Xcel, at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
The ship will begin sailing in November with seven new onboard spaces and inaugural seven-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale, alternating between the Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, and Caribbean destinations including Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.
In summer 2026, Celebrity Xcel will make its European debut, offering seven- to 11-night Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona and Athens, featuring new overnight stops in Madeira, Portugal.
