You Can Now Cruise to the Geographic North Pole in Luxury—With Ice Landings, Polar Bears, and Midnight Sun Views
Luxury cruise line Ponant is making it easier to travel to the ends of the Earth with a shorter voyage that brings travelers all the way to the geographic North Pole.
The new 12-night journey will launch in the summer of 2027 aboard the company’s ice-breaking Le Commandant Charcot ship and is purposely designed to meet demand for a shorter cruise that still celebrates polar exploration, Ponant shared with Travel + Leisure.
The trip will take travelers up to 90-degrees North, one of the most hard-to-reach destinations known for its permanent ice cover and summer midnight sun.
