Cruise ship changes as Hurricane Erin intensifies

Cruise ships have changed course in the Caribbean as Hurricane Erin threatens to develop into a major storm this weekend.

Erin was producing winds of about 70 mph as of Friday morning and could strengthen steadily, the National Hurricane Center says.

The NHC has placed a Tropical Storm Watch on the region including Anguilla and Barbuda, St. Martin and St. Barts.

Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas skipped the scheduled two nights in Bermuda this week and called at Port Canaveral instead.
