Disney Cruise Line Helps Inspire the Next Generation of Bahamian Maritime Leaders
Growing up with a father as a fisherman, Dakarai has always loved the sea. At nine years old, he already has his mind set on becoming a navigator of a ship someday.
That’s why he joined the LJM Maritime Academy summer camp, sponsored by Disney Cruise Line.
As part of the two-week summer camp experience in Nassau, The Bahamas, young Bahamian students learn first-hand from maritime industry experts, and participate in lessons on navigation and engineering, and workshops, like nautical rope tying.
