Paspaley announces Pearl Expeditions after Ponant exit pause
The Paspaley pearl empire has announced its return to cruise with Paspaley Pearl Expeditions launching in partnership with cruise industry trailblazer Sarina Bratton AM.
The new, uniquely Australian owned, immersive expedition cruise venture comes after a partnership with Ponant failed to come to fruition.
At the heart of Pearl Expeditions is the Paspaley Pearl – currently moored in Singapore – which is a purpose-built, boutique expedition motor yacht for just 30 guests.
Originally launched as Island Escape for the now defunct Island Escape Cruises Ltd (New Zealand) in late 2021, Paspaley Pearl has undergone a multi-million-dollar refurbishment and completed sea trials off Fremantle in Western Australia, in August last year before the boutique expedition yacht was sent to Singapore after the Ponant deal collapsed last year.
