Michael Schulze, Phoenix Reisen, is this years’ CruiseCopenhagen ambassador award winner
At the German speaking cruise line company, Phoenix Reisen, Baltic cruises are very popular because of the combination they offer of both city and nature experiences. And with the gegraphic closeness to German homeports, Denmark is especially an obvious destination for the German cruise guests, Director of Cruising at Phoenix Reisen, Michael Schulze, thinks.
The positive attitude towards the destinations of CruiseCopenhagen is one of the main reasons why Michael Schulze since this years’ Seatrade Europe in Hamburg can call himself the beholder of the CruiseCopenhagen Ambassador Award 2017. And to Director of CruiseCopenhagen, Claus Bødker, who handed out the prize, there is no doubt why Michael Schulze should receive the prize:
“Phoenix Reisen calls several Danish ports and is bold enough to seek new Danish destinations on their routes. Michael Schulze and Phoenix Reisen have played an active role in placing Denmark on the global cruise card. Together with his 100 colleagues at the head quarter in Bonn he works loyally to get the cruise lines to Denmark. That he in addition is very well-liked among partners and ports in Denmark is just a positive add-on,” Claus Bødker says.
To the winner himself the honour of receiving the CruiseCopenhagen Ambassador Award is a nice development in his professional relationship with Danish ports and destinations:
“Danish destinations are a must to German travellers. Everything is close to Germany and it is very positive to have the opportunity of being able to show German cruise passengers the many lovely areas that are so close to Germany,” Michael Schulze says.
Phoenix Reisen has a fleet of 4 cruise ships and 40 river cruise ships. Phoenix Reisen primarily uses the German home ports Hamburg, Kiel and Bremerhaven and offers Baltic cruises from 10 to 17 days.
The CruiseCopenhagen Ambassador Award is a yearly prize given to a personality within the cruise line industry that has played an active role in placing Copenhagen and or Denmark on the global cruise card.
