Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line announced its support of the “Folding @ Home Project” (FAH), dedicating its unused computing power to help researchers find a cure for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
During a special award ceremony held this morning at the LJM Maritime Academy in Nassau, Disney Cruise Line awarded scholarships to four female cadets to attend the maritime academy. 
Carnival Corporation & plc signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Bahamas to fund and support flood damage repairs and basic restoration efforts at Rand Memorial Hospital, the primary hospital in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, which sustained significant damage in September from Hurricane Dorian.
Continuing the ongoing partnership between Carnival and Grand Bahama, Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy and members of her senior leadership team visited the island to meet with government officials, tour the line’s development site and host GirlCON’s third annual conference aboard Carnival Glory.
While the world mourns the destruction of Abaco and Grand Bahama and seeks ways to help the destinations build back better, the cruise industry continues to prove its commitment.
Carnival Cruise Line announced today that it will resume regular calls to Grand Bahama beginning this Friday, Oct. 11, when Carnival Pride will dock in Freeport. Carnival Elation will follow on Sunday, Oct. 13 and Carnival Freedom on Tuesday, Oct. 15. 
The Canaveral Port Authority has joined forces with Ocala, FL-based Crossroads Alliance & Ministries to aid in humanitarian relief efforts for the hurricane-ravaged Bahamas. Crossroads Alliance is expanding its relief response capabilities with nearly 60,000 square feet of warehouse and office space donated by the Port Authority to the non-profit organization.
Carnival Corporation & plc and two of its cruise line brands today (Sep.25) signed an agreement with the government of The Bahamas to build two major port developments.
Carnival Corporation & plc yesterday announced it is expanding its partnership with Tropical Shipping to accept emergency relief donations and supplies sent from any location and is delivering them to The Bahamas National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the central governmental agency coordinating the response and recovery for the people of The Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian.
Continuing its ongoing efforts to assist and support residents of The Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian, Carnival Cruise Line has announced that two ships departing from U.S. homeports next week will make stops in Freeport to distribute food, water and relief supplies.
MSC Group’s efforts, in addition to providing and delivering goods of primary necessity, will initially focus on semi-permanent prefabricated modular housing for the population as well as making available MSC geared ships for cargo relief service from the U.S to The Bahamas.
