Nassau: Cruise Port Chief In ‘Guarantee’ On Bond’s Success

Nassau Cruise Port’s ultimate parent has pledged to “guarantee” the success of its $130m bond issue by covering any capital shortfall that may exist when the offering closes at the end of this week. Mehmet Kutman, Global Ports Holding’s chairman, told Tribune Business via an Internet conference call that he will “chip in the difference” should investor demand be insufficient to raise the full amount. MSC Cruises has announced a new opening date for its new private island destination in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve: December 5, 2019. Previously, the cruise line had expected the destination to be ready to receive guests by mid-November, but adverse weather and last-minute operational challenges slowed down the completion of the island, MSC said. Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line (Logo) Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line announced that its Cruise & Stay program is coming to Nassau. Earlier this month, the company introduced Nassau as a second destination, joining Grand Bahama Island. Guests can now extend their cruise with a resort vacation at a number of properties, including the all-inclusive Meliá Nassau Beach Resort at Cable Beach, SLS at Baha Mar and Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. Grand Bahama Drydocks First Ship Following Hurricane

Grand Bahama Shipyard in FreeportGrand Bahama Shipyard today (Sep.30) announced that it drydocked its first vessel since reopening the shipyard after Hurricane Dorian hit The Bahamas. The Taipei Trader, a 9,932-ton container ship operated by Lomar Shipping Limited, docked at the No. 3 dock this week, for its ongoing drydock, which was interrupted by the hurricane. Port Canaveral Teams Up with Nonprofit Organization for Bahamas Relief
