Major Norway cruise line Hurtigruten hit by ‘comprehensive’ ransomware cyberattack

Hurtigruten (logo)A Norwegian cruise company said Monday its systems have been hit by what it called “a comprehensive” ransomware virus data attack but stressed that it was not expected to have major financial consequences. Ole-Marius Moe-Helgesen, an IT executive with Hurtigruten, said the cruise line’s “global IT infrastructure appears to be affected.” (usatoday.com)

COVID-19 Infection Confirmed on Hurtigruten’s MS Finnmarken

The Finnmarken - HurtigrutenToday, Saturday September 19th, Hurtigruten confirmed that a guest on board the MS Finnmarken tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Norwegian newspaper VG. Outbreak hits Norway cruise ship, could spread along coast

Hurtigruten (logo)A Norwegian cruise ship line halted all trips and apologized Monday for procedural errors after a coronavirus outbreak on one ship infected at least 5 passengers and 36 crew.
