Harland & Wolff is back targeting cruise repair jobs having been rescued by InfraStrata plc, which acquired the shipyard in December 2019. The shipyard’s main facilities in Belfast host two of the largest docks in Europe at 556 meters and 335 meters respectively, along with numerous fully serviced quayside berths, according to a statement from the yard. On the 26th September MSC Meraviglia will call in Belfast Harbour for the first time as the ship becomes the largest ship ever by passenger capacity to visit the famous port. The ship, owned by MSC Cruises, the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line is 315 metres long, 43 metres wide and carries over 6,500 guests and crew. (more…)
