Riviera pauses Danube and Rhine river cruise sales
Riviera Travel has paused the sale of Danube and Rhine river cruises scheduled between now and mid-September due to the disruptions caused by low water levels.
The cruise sales are aimed to resume Sept. 13 for all markets, and the cruises themselves have not been canceled. The river cruise line said the decision was made to ensure the company could uphold its “five-point promise,” which includes avoiding turning the cruise into a bus tour.
“What we will not do is replace significant sections of your planned river journey with repeated, long-distance coach journeys simply to keep an itinerary running,” the company said.
