Ambassador Cruise Line launches winter Regional Coach Transfer programme

Ambassador Cruise Line (Logo)Guests can now join winter sailings from 10 convenient pick-up points across the UK with new “Get On Board. We’ll Take It From Here” initiative.

Ambassador Cruise Line has today (Tuesday 2 June 2026) launched a new Regional Coach Transfer programme that will make it easier than ever for guests across the UK to enjoy a hassle-free start to their no-fly cruise holiday from London Tilbury.

Available on selected sailings departing between January and March 2027, Get On Board. We’ll Take It From Here will allow guests to travel directly from 10 regional pick-up points across the UK to London Cruise Terminal, removing the need to drive, navigate busy roads or arrange overnight accommodation before joining their cruise.

Pick-up points include Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Cardiff and Portsmouth, providing guests with a convenient and affordable way to begin their holiday. Return coach transfers are available from just £70 per person.

The new service has been introduced following feedback from travel agent partners and guests who identified transport to London Tilbury as a potential barrier when booking winter sailings, particularly at a time when Ambassador’s ships are operating from the cruise line’s home port rather than regional departure gateways.

Initially available on nine selected sailings of seven nights or more early in the New Year, Get On Board. We’ll Take It From Here covers a range of itineraries including Northern Lights adventures, winter sun escapes to Iberia, North Africa and the Canary Islands, springtime fjord sailings and longer Caribbean cruises.

Nicola Harper, Head of Distribution at Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “One of the reasons guests choose Ambassador is the simplicity of no-fly cruising and we are always looking for ways to make that experience even easier.

“Our new Regional Coach Transfer programme allows guests from across the UK to join selected winter sailings from a location much closer to home, removing much of the planning and travel that can sometimes come with joining a cruise from London Tilbury.

“We know from conversations with our trade partners and guests that there is strong demand for a service like this, particularly during the winter months when our ships are sailing from Tilbury rather than our regional ports. Whether joining us from Scotland, the North of England, the Midlands, Wales or the South Coast, guests can simply step aboard a comfortable coach, sit back, relax and let us take care of the rest.

” Get On Board. We’ll Take It From Here is all about making cruising more accessible, more convenient and ultimately more enjoyable from the very start of the holiday. Our aim is for this to become a year-round part of the Ambassador experience. We are launching initially on selected winter sailings but will look to expand the programme should it prove as popular with guests as we and our friends in the trade believe it will be.”
