Although the cruise industry has been dominated by mega ships, such as MSC World America and Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas, which can carry over 4,000 passengers, a new survey shows that many travelers prefer something a bit smaller for their ideal cruise experience.

The survey, conducted by travel agency cruise.co.uk, gathered responses from nearly 700 passengers, shedding light on how cruise ship size influences bookings for 2026.
