Carnival cruise workers were deported when they docked in the United States because officials claimed they had links to child pornography, an advocacy group has alleged.
Four Filipino employees onboard the ship Carnival Sunshine were detained by Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) offices when the ship returned to Norfolk, Virginia on August 17.
The Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) told The Maritime Executive the four crew members were taken into custody because they participated in an online chat group that had links to child pornography.
