New expedition cruise company, Terra Nova, acquires former mail ship St Helena
Is there room for one more expedition cruise company? Australian tourism entrepreneur and Mawson’s Huts Foundation board member, Greg Carter, obviously thinks so.
The founder and CEO of the newly launched Terra Nova Expeditions, who was also CCO of Albatros Expeditions, has revealed he has taken the iconic former UK Royal Mail ship St Helena, on a long-term charter with plans to convert the 1989-built vessel into an ice-class 1C polar expedition cruise ship and will begin voyages to Antarctica from the 2026/27 season.
