Nick Hoogeweij has been appointed general manager of Cruise Port Rotterdam

Holland America Line's Rotterdam VII departed the city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, today  - Oct. 15, 2022 - on its historic 150th Anniversary Transatlantic Crossing. The 15-day journey recreates Holland America Line's maiden voyage of Rotterdam I that departed the city 150 years ago today. The crossing follows the path of that first sailing to New York, with calls at Le Havre, France, and Plymouth, England. The brick building with towers in the lower right is the former headquarters for Holland America Line and is now Hotel New York.Nick Hoogeweij took up his new appointment as General Manager of Cruise Port Rotterdam on January 1 2025.

Together with Arjan van der Linde, terminal manager & manager shore power and Mai Elmar, executive director, he will be responsible for the business operations of Cruise Port Rotterdam.

With a hospitality and marketing background Hoogeweij has become a knowledgeable cruise industry ambassador with service as paramount importance. Amongst others, he is member of the Cruise Europe Council as chair of the marketing committee and a member of the Hospitality Platform Rotterdam.
