Dominican Republic received 42 cruise ships and about 140 thousand visitors in August
The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) reported that the Dominican Republic received 42 cruise ships in August. For September, it receives about 26 cruise ships arriving in the country through different terminals.
The APORDOM report for August indicates that a total of 42 vessels arrived in the country, 16 through the Amber Cove terminal, 12 through Santo Domingo Ferry, while Taíno Bay received 12 and La Romana 3, through which a total of 139,065 visitors arrived.
Similarly, the report details that, for the September 2024 season of ports and cruise ship anchorages in the country, the terminal that will receive the most vessels is Amber Cover, with 15, followed by Taíno Bay with 7, La Romana with 3, and San Soucí with 1.
