Vacationers seeking more fun in the sun will now have the alternative option to travel to both islands in a comfortable and convenient manner via a cruise holiday aboard the Resorts World One from Hong Kong.
“Resorts World Cruises is delighted to provide vacationers with more attractive destination options for the Resorts World One departing from Hong Kong, which will soon include cruising to the popular islands of Naha and Miyakojima, Okinawa, Japan. Together with the support of the Okinawa governor and local authorities, we look forward to rejuvenating both the local and regional cruise tourism industry together”, said Mr. Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises. “With alternate weekly departures from Hong Kong, vacationers can also choose between the 5 Night Naha-Miyakojima cruise itinerary and the 2 or 3 Night Sanya cruise itineraries,” added Mr. Michael Goh.
With the Resorts World One departing from Hong Kong every alternate Sundays to Okinawa, vacationers will be able to explore both Naha and Miyakojima. The city of Naha is Okinawa’s cosmopolitan capital and gateway to the island, showcasing many hallmark attractions with seaside pleasures. A visit to Naha is not complete without a trip to the energetic Kokusai Street that is also central to some of the city’s largest festivals, featuring a row of retail outlets, bars, cafes, arts and craft shops and more. For some of the best local seafood delicacies, be sure to also check out the vibrant Makishi Public Market, also popularly known as the “Kitchen of Okinawa”.
To fulfil your retail needs, do also explore Naha’s shopping centres and hotspots, including T-Galleria Okinawa that is renowned for its domestic duty-free savings on high end luxury brands. For a change of scenery and pace, vacationers can also enjoy the Naminoue Beach and its fun water activities, together with the spiritual Naminoue Shrine, the source of all life in Okinawan mythology. Vacationers can also discover the ancient side of Naha and its heritage that include the historic Shurijo Castle Park.
As part of the cruise itinerary, vacationers will also cruise to Miyakojima, an island considered by many as one of the most beautiful spots in Japan. With sub-tropical climate all year round, Miyakojima offers some the country’s best beaches, perfect for snorkelling, diving and thrilling water sports. Alternatively, vacationers can just chill and relax to enjoy the picturesque powdery white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and amazing sunsets.
Notable famous beaches include the Yonaha Maehama beach, Sunayama beach and Painagama Beach. Beyond its natural wonders, Miyakojima offers a journey of rich cultural heritage with traditional architectures, unique designed bridges, colourful local festivals and mouthwatering unique Okinawan speciality cuisines, tropical fruits and fresh seafood.
While cruising at sea, vacationers will also have ample time to enjoy and discover the cruise ship. As ‘A Resort Cruising at Sea’, Resorts World One offers many unique experiences, including menu choices inspired by Asian flavours to exquisite international cuisine across the 18 bars and specialty restaurants on board the ship.
Guests can also enjoy world-class international performances at the Zodiac Theatre; experience movie nights at sea, participate in themed entertainment and rich workshops; engage in thrilling virtual games; or simply take a dip in the Roman pool and enjoy the Caesar slide and massage pool. Alternatively, guests can have a relaxing day at the spa or work out at the well-equipped gym; enjoy shopping at the ship’s boutiques and duty-free shops and more. All these, while cruising to the next exotic destination with local shore tours awaiting your arrival.
