The Sea Cloud Spirit Sets Sail From Miami As Sea Cloud Cruises Expands Its Departures List
The Sea Cloud Cruises shipping company is celebrating a debut route today (February 21, 2023) in US waters with its new tall ship, the Sea Cloud Spirit.
Today, and then every February and March, the route will take the 453-foot sailing yacht from Miami, Florida to Eleuthera and the Exuma Cays. In the future, trips to this exclusive cluster of islands will mark the close of our Caribbean and Central American season. Our company’s flagship and namesake is the legendary Sea Cloud, which was built in 1931 for the entrepreneur Marjorie Merriweather Post.
To add an attractive destination to our winter month portfolio, we’ve purposely chosen Miami as a sailing cruise departure and destination as it can be easily reached from all over the world. Sea Cloud Cruises has enjoyed a long run of success after initiating three yacht tours to the Lesser Antilles and Central America several years ago. With Eleuthera and the Exuma Cays as ports of call, we are pursuing our concept of visiting destinations that are inaccessible to traditional cruise ships and providing our passengers with a one-of-a-kind sailing experience.
Based on bookings so far this year, SEA CLOUD CRUISES looks set to experience a highly successful year in 2023. This confirms our prediction that trips postponed in recent years are finally being taken. On our Sea Cloud ships, the focus is on the experience of sailing, complemented by exclusive onboard and land programs and a luxury hotel ambiance. All three ships are designed for a small circle of guests, and their private yacht character sets them apart from the competition. This new region on our list is frequented almost exclusively by small private yachts, thus perfectly fitting the philosophy of Sea Cloud Cruises.
