Pandaw on the Mekong: 20 years of pioneering adventures

RV Mekong PandawIn 2002, Pandaw pioneered travel by river along the Mekong River, sailing between Saigon and the temples of Angkor at Siem Reap aboard the purposely built RV Mekong Pandaw.

20 years on, Pandaw continues to lead the way for adventurous travellers in Indochina with the launch of its new 10-night Mekong cruise, still sailing aboard the RV Mekong Pandaw who has been lovingly refitted many times since her first adventures on the Mekong.

Escaping the over-visited areas now frequented by the many ‘floating hotels’ that ply the Mekong these days, our new 10-night expedition ventures deeper into the Vietnamese Mekong Delta, and much further up the Cambodian Mekong than any other ship to discover authentic life along this fascinating waterway which still exists beyond the tourist traps.

“To celebrate the launch of this new itinerary on the Mekong, as well as the belated 20 year anniversary of our inaugural sailings, we are re-releasing a blog from one of our guests aboard our first expedition back in 2002, Mr Barry Broman”.
